Best Delta Faucets Reviews
1. Delta 9178-AR-DST Faucet
This Faucet Leland Single-Handle Kitchen Sink Faucet from Delta has a pull down sprayer and is a fine balance between modern functionality and typical styling, but in a dramatic way so that it lends that snazzy edge to your kitchen and is timeless. This pull down sprayer faucet comes in three finishes of Chrome, Arctic Stainless, Venetian Bronze, and Spot-Shield Stainless finishes.
Delta ensures that you get the best no matter what kind of faucet you but from them, with this Leland Single-Handle Kitchen Sink Faucet you get reliable performance thanks to their Diamond Seal Technology and the Duramount mounting system for easy installation.
The Diamond Seal Valve guarantees no leaks and involves adiamond-embedded ceramic disc that doesn’t require wear or lubrication.
- MagnaTite Docking on sprayer,
- ShieldSpray Technology for faster clean up,
- can easily fit single-hole or 3-hole,
- 8-inches configurations, includes an optional deck plate for 3-hole installation,
- integrated InnoFlex PEX supply lines
- extension hoseplastic retainer might come off/ is unbalanced
The first smart thing we noticed is the soft rubber spray holes under the faucet mouth that prevent the build up of minerals and can simply be wiped off and this Diamond Seal Technology that they have
Delta faucets with Diamond Seal Technology perform like new for life. They reduce leak points, makes this faucet less of a hassle to install and lasts twice as long as the industry standard. Then, the sprayer is fitted with what they’re calling ‘MagnaTite Docking’ – where a powerful integrated magnet keep the sprayer head in place, stopping it from drooping and finally falling off.
We purchased this faucet a month back for this review andit’s been performing exceptionally well. The one things that we wished could’ve been better is the plastic retainer for its extension hose. The first time we tested all components this retainer snapped off and sent water everywhere. This all depends on how its been fixed and we used two zip ties to get this fixed – we think that this part could have come with some kind of attachment to hold it in place. Other than this, the faucet is built well and the materials used make it safer for drinking water and make is just as strong for drinking water.
This 9159-AR-DST Trinsic Single-Handle Kitchen Sink Faucet is part of Delta’sTrinsic Kitchen Collection, that embodies modern design and technology – including their patented MagnaTite Docking and Diamond Seal Technology.
This faucet model comes in Chrome, Arctic Stainless, Champagne Bronze, and Matte Black finishes.
Also included in the design are the Duramount mounting system and the Diamond Seal Valve.
You might be sceptical of this at first at first as it is the elevated version of your everyday faucet, but pretty soon you’ll be relying on it to do things that you wouldn’t with your normal faucet –for example you will be asking it to dispense water to make pasta with, or enough water into the mixing bowl, or when making your favourite Swedish recipes!
We had a great time testing this feature out and filled everything from the tea mug, pet fountain, water bottle etc. This feature is perfect for when you have your hands full, or for someone who has arthritis and struggles with faucet handles.
We’re into the whole smart sink thing and found that the only maintenance that’s required is the changing of batteries.Installation was pretty straight forward and setup was so easy here. Where, using the Delta App, you can turn on just faucet light and connect it up to your phone. Using this you can control the faucet using your browser, and dispenses the correct amount of water too!The same set up can be used for customizing different items or settings.
- Leak reduction DIAMOND Seal Technology,
- MagnaTite Docking,
- easy installation on single-hole or 3-hole, 6-8-in.
- Configurations,InnoFlex PEX supply lines integrated into the faucet,Touch-Clean spray holes
- lacks sink hole baseboard,
- finish on the handle rubs off
Anyway, back to the actual faucet – one thing that it is missing is the baseboard to cover up extra holes if you already have some drilled. Delta does offer a separate baseboard that has to be bought separately.
If you come across issues with the sensor, you will have to contact Delta as this might be a solenoid problem that they discovered and had to redesign the faucet because of it. This solenoid has a 5 year warrantee now and which will start over for a full 5 years on this redesigned model.
Regardless, we love it because the sensor actually keeps the faucet clean – those instances when hands are covered in dough, sauce or any food being prepared, one can just touch the faucet with the back of their hand and it’s activated. One more downside is the finish on the handle isn’t durable and began rubbing off from the first week.
There have been some reported cases about the an inability to ground the solenoid electronics so that a touch activates the ON / OFF function. The other issue is that the battery connection itself remains intermittent, easily interrupted whenever wires attached to the solenoid pack are jostled. Both are design issues and because of this, installation involving anything but the most common kind of sink (preferably not made of metal) may bring up these issues and the ‘Touch’ feature may not work. In this sense, it falls expensive to buy and install, as you need a plumber who knows how to fix this kind of faucet.
If you need a faucet that stays docked when not in use and cleans with laser-like precision while containing mess and splatter, then this is the faucet for you. Fitted with Delta’s MagnaTite Docking andShield-Spray Technology, it is the sprayer that does most of the work for you and resolves these two issues all while using as less water as possible.
The sprayer uses concentrated jet powers and with the DIAMOND Seal Technology, the faucet functions like new every day, doesn’t have calcium build up and more.
- MagnaTite Docking and Shield-Spray Technology,
- uses less water,
- no calcium build-up
- gaskets don’t have a universal fit,
- shutting the water off requires thoughtful attention
This is the choice for you if you think that the faucet is pretty much the centerpiece of any kitchen, are picky with your choice, want quality above all else. As far as we’re construction goes, it’s built like a tank, mounting options are quite simple as both the faucet and handle take the same size hole – just right for left handed people.
We read some reviews of complaints about water pooling at the base of the faucet – again, its impossible for Delta to ship out a faucet model that fits ALL sinks – but there is a work around. When we saw this, we immediately understood that the original rubber gaskets were too thin, so we swapped them out with better ones prior to mounting and stopped the leaks.
You might not see this problem when fitting the faucet on new sink models as the gasket fit tightly.
Overall, we were impressed with the quality and thoughtful detail, but it might not be for everyone though. We are referring to the technology side of it,where one might find it annoying to get used to or to turn off the water – as it only cuts off when the handle is set at a very specific spot. Then it takes time and lots of water before setting the right temperature.
And in some cases, if you miss this spot, you could come home to find the water running. Also, the pull down hose catches on the shut off valve handle under the sink.
Just the like other faucets, the Delta Faucet Chrome 100LF-WF Classic has all the technology needed for synchronising your kitchen or bathroom. It also has a 3-hole installation with a ½-inch IPS connection supporting a full 1.8 GPM water flow.
- 3-hole 6″ or 8″ installation,
- ADA Compliant,
- standard spout swivels 360degrees,
- durable chrome finish resists tarnish and corrosion,
- lifetime limited warranty covers parts and finish defects
- higher priced models since it is fully covered by Delta’s lifetime limited warranty,
- retro design,
- plastic mounting hardware instead of metal on new makes,
TheDelta 100LF-WF is what comes to many people’s mind when they think of a single handle kitchen faucet as its priced to sell and really works. The only things is that it has a very retro design and might find in stylised, period kitchen decor. In a modern kitchen though its going to stick out.
If you already have one of these and its needs replacing, it’s easy to do so as they are made exactly the same way as they were 20 years ago.
In fact, just replacing it should do as taking the time to put in replacement o-rings isn’t worth it. Delta has made an “economy” version of this faucet, but you’ll find that this one works just right. This also works great of don’t want PRC uncertified metal handling of your water supply.
We found that the flow is great, the shut off is complete and is safer as water is lead free. One thing to note here is that all of the new models might looks the same but are being made out of plastic mounting hardware instead of metal and sponge instead of rubber for the base seal.
The 16970-SSSD-DST Faucet Kate Single-Handle Kitchen Sink Faucet is part of the Classic kitchen series. It is a hardworking solution that will stand the test of time, every time. Fitted with the DIAMOND(TM) Seal Technology to complement the way you move throughout the day and help to bring your individuality to life.
With this technology on board, the faucet has a valve with a tough diamond coating so its really lasts. It also keeps water inside the faucet out of contact with potential metal contaminants so its safe for use.
- hot-cold water temperature controls,
- soap dispenser,
- good build and quality,
- spray head takes time toretract normally,
- poor temperature control handle design and functionality
The funny thing about this faucet is this small round hot/cold marker tab that is hidden in away in one of the clear plastic bag packages and is easy to miss. This goes on the on/off handle – so check for that. We really like this faucet and it makes for a good choice when looking for a pull-out kitchen faucet with the sprayer to replace your three hole traditional faucet. Take time when reading the instructions as they are a little ambiguous. Don’t DIY it.
The soap dispenser is all plastic but well-made. The Hot/Cold ratio is a bit touchy, due to an easily movable handle with a more narrow range. This shouldn’t be a problem as long as the hot water supply isn’t at an unsafe level.
You can use this safety feature/button in the handle which can limit the Hot and Cold extremes. It is well made but can be a bit noisy though – probably has to do with the water moving up the flexible extension hose, or the weight underneath which causes it to retract when turned off.Materials used are of a nice, good quality. The spray head takes some uses before it begins retracting properly.
The spray stream is good and maintains the same settings till you change them, and the faucet gives good control over the flow too. But,water temperature is controlled by rotating the handle around the axis and could be inconvenient at times. When you lower the handle it goes back to the zero point requiring the water to be adjusted again next time you use the faucet.
Extra attention is required to shut down the handle right on the centre or else it will leak.
This 175-DST Classic Single Handle Kitchen Faucet in Chrome is another offering from the Classic series and is known for its simple lines, clean styling, practicality and durability. It has been made out of the InnoFlex waterways which has been coupled with this electron beam to eliminate unpleasant odours or tastes and is a better alternative for those chemical based solutions.
- sensible styling that complements any home,
- 8-Inch long spout swings 360-Degree for added convenience,
- single lever handle for ease of control,
- solid brass construction ensures quality and reliability,
- vegetable sprayer mounts on left or right for design flexibility
- no base plate,
- tricky opening/closure of handle that leaks otherwise,
- spout distance could be longer
Some people have described how they’ve replaced older, faucets from big brands that had started flaking and how Delta faucets had outlasted those costly faucets. And there you have it – testimony of the Delta quality standards, but one thing they did miss was the addition of a base plate to cover extra holes.
The other thing was the leaking, dripping of water if the handle isn’t position in the dead center. Usually with Delta faucets, repairs are simple and straight forward, finishes won’t rust or pit till you paint over them or use the wrong cleaning solution. The same applies to this 175-DST Classic Single Handle Kitchen Faucet.
Installation is breeze too, and fits on easily because the Pex lines are long enough, can be attached permanently using some pressure to the shut off valves. Overall, the faucet feels smooth, the control is fluid, and the device works well, but the distance between the pivot point and the spout could have been longer.
Also, there isn’t enough support at the base of the faucet for installation on stainless steel sinks, where it rocks or moves slightly and doesn’t have a good fit. So, while installing it is relatively easily, it feels light and flimsy and this leaves us doubtful of the durability, quality and how it will stand over time. The sprayer is not the chrome metal like the faucet but is till nice.
Beautifully engineered inside and out with consumer-inspired innovations like Touch2O Technology. This lets you turn your faucet on and off with just a touch.
- conveniently placed hot water control button,
- huge size not for small sinks,
- plastic spray handle,
- new model has hot water trigger issues
Such elaborate styling, with an arc that’s high enough. With this faucet, you can move the water control arm to the desired temperature, before you turn it on.The other logical addition is that you can get any level of hot water. The button to control the stream or spray is within reach.
The thing is that this faucet is huge so check how it fits your sink, especially if its a smaller one.
Then there is plenty of water pressure, the sprayer handle slides in and out easily and has two different spray functions. There is this design flaw with the rubber grommet where the pull out handle does not seat into the base after about a few weeks of use.It begins leaking down the flexible hosing when used and no amount of tightening can fix it. And the weight that is supposed to be an anti-kink guard is ineffective.
So, this is a beautiful faucet, but not reliable and since it is a new model, doesn’t trigger the hot water heater to start.
WHY Delta Kitchen is a better choice
These faucets are the top choice because of the pull-down spray-heads that can be operated with a gentle pull and connect back up magnetically so that they don’t droop. you can easily control the water temperature with its ergonomic handle, but it is this Diamond Seal Technology that adds more durability.
InnoFlex PEX waterways:
These InnoFlex PEX waterways also help by keeping metal contaminants out of the water, makes the internal valves last longer and is guaranteed for up ot 5 million uses – this is based on an ASME A112.18.1 of 500,000 cycles which is a durability test done according to industry standards. The faucets are easy to mount and install, calcium build-up can simply be wiped off and the system requires no lubrication.
The perfect combination of sleek design, high functionality, and relative affordability and all seven of the units listed in this article represent some of the best options on the market. They are a mix of traditional style and sophistication, and provides the option of using the included escutcheon metal base in order to slightly change the look of the faucet. Within these same design styles, you get options to purchase a soap/lotion dispenser as well as a kitchen air gap.
Delta uses materials that offer for safer drinking water but is just as strong as copper pipes, is stylish and functional and has been brought up to modern standards using the Touch20 IDEA. Touch sensors that let you use the faucet easily and is, in actual use, is pretty good and offers superior water management.
Installation is a little tricky because of the extra wiring and technology – so you need to check the kind of sink you use before buying a certain model and get a plumber. Once everything is set up, you won’t have any issues and everything works.
The bigger issue is the poor design of the solenoid that might set you back, and many people have bypassed this in order to increase water flow or have had the faucets replaced. In fact, many have had to do this and Delta has given a full replacement. So this is the only setback. The ON/OFF, Hot/Cold sensor lights and technology might not suit heavy duty kitchens as they’re simply too delicate – some care is required.
